Introduction :

ShopLocal Business, operated by Framz Limited, is a digital marketplace platform connecting customers with local sellers. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service (TOS) in full.

Consumer rights and statutory compliance :

We comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations.

  • Customers may cancel eligible non-perishable and non-age-restricted orders within 14 days of receipt. Perishable items, age-restricted items, or custom products are excluded.
  • Customers have the right to request repair, replacement, or refund for faulty, damaged, or misdescribed products.
  • Statutory rights cannot be waived by these Terms. All product-specific exceptions are clearly displayed at checkout.
Platform role :
  • ShopLocal Business acts solely as a marketplace intermediary.
  • All sales contracts are formed directly between the customer and the seller.
  • Framz Limited does not manufacture, store, package, or deliver products.
Eligibility and accounts :

Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account or place an order. Users must provide accurate information and keep login credentials secure.

Orders, payments, and payouts :

Payments are processed via Stripe. Customers may cancel orders before seller acceptance. Once a seller accepts an order, payment is captured, and statutory cancellation rights may apply.

  • Customers pay a fixed £0.50 service fee per order.
  • Sellers receive payouts on a weekly schedule. Refunds, chargebacks, or fraudulent orders may be deducted from seller balances.
  • Detailed procedures for disputes, investigations, and fund holds are documented and communicated to sellers. Sellers must also comply with our Seller Agreement.
Delivery and risk :

Sellers are responsible for delivery or collection. Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer once the product is handed to a verified delivery agent or collected by the customer.

  • For misdelivery, lost, or damaged items, customers must report issues within 48 hours.
  • The platform provides mediation but sellers remain ultimately responsible.

Force majeure :

ShopLocal Business is not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, technical outages, cyberattacks, or government restrictions. Users will be notified promptly. If such events continue beyond 30 days, either party may terminate obligations affected by the event.

Limitation of liability :

Our liability is limited to direct losses up to the value of the transaction. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Reviews and user content :

Reviews must be lawful, honest, and respectful. ShopLocal Business reserves the right to moderate or remove inappropriate reviews.

Suspension and termination :

Accounts may be suspended or terminated for breach of these Terms, legal non-compliance, or risk to the platform. Affected users will receive written notice, where feasible.

Governing law :

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
